All hail the new Pope. Bow ye down and worship. His holiness from Argentina has just been elected. Can we trust him?
I was raised a Catholic, a devout God-fearing, no, God-trembling Catholic. Confirmed, alter boyed, the works!!!
One day, after much wine, I had an epiphany. Does God really exist? And what's my church all about?
I began to question how a church could grow so strong? How one man, the Pope, could be elected to rule over all and sundry?
After converting to atheism, I look back and often wonder where it all went wrong...
The Catholic Church has been around forever it seems. But only in recent decades have been begun to question this religious institution. Why only now? Child abuse scandals? We know they're been happening all along, but now the voices have spoken up!
What will this new Pope bring? Justice to victims? A new doctrine that will somehow transform Catholicism?
So far he seems all too timid, all too yes-man, for my liking.
I hope he's not just a sheep in wolves clothes.
