Power out again in Centurion

22 July 2014, 07:51
Is the power out again due to cable theft? Perhaps we need a new form of wireless electricity. I haven't yet seen any reason or news report detailing why power has been out in the Centurion, Rooihuiskraal, WierdaPark area, since about midnight last night.
What is South Africa coming to. Its not only the convenience of having electricity, but today, everything depends on it, and never mind the amount of food wastage for family's. Some people's health are dependent on electricity, such as those as my late mother, who needed an oxygen machine which uses electricity, in order to stay alive. Sure there was a cylinder we had to constantly ensure was available for backup, but that is not always easy to get, in the middle of the night, when one or two company's are driving all over the city trying to get people these oxygen cylinders, which are also costly, nonetheless.
Babies need electricity. In townhouse complexes, and flats, you cannot or may not just light a fire to cook food. People don't have money to feed a whole family eating out for three, four, five days in a row. Something must me done.
