Premeditated Murder?

22 February 2013, 09:00

Oscar Pistorius…A Cold-blooded Murderer?

What could Oscar possibly gain from the death of Reeva Steenkamp?

I fail to understand the State prosecutor, Gerrie Nel’s continual argument of pre-meditated murder. Why would someone with no history of aggression, with no possibility and definitely no need of financial gain and no moral obligation to the deceased, plan to kill her in cold blood?

I’m sorry, but this argument just does not hold water, not even with the state witness’ statement of continued arguing that Nel is now suddenly pulling out of his hat!

The first “witness” ended up living approximately 600 meters away from Oscar and now there is a second who was actually prepared to submit a statement. Wow!

Let’s assume that reports are correct and that Reeva, a 29 year old adult who’s head was definitely not screwed on wrong, chose to rather spend a romantic evening with Oscar by cancelling an evening with friends. Would she choose the night leading to Valentine’s Day to consciously drive him crazy enough to shoot her? I doubt it.

FABRICATION

BUT…imagine Reeva going to the bathroom. Oscar is in bed and from under her pillow her cell phone continuously beeps with SMS’s and BBM’s from 100s of wannabe Valentines….Oscar, a passive non aggressive person amongst his family and loved ones but extremely volatile when the achievement or trophies within his grasp is jeopardised by “unfair” or un-level playing grounds, reaches over and scrolls through her messages.

Many of them are explicit and suggestive dreams of crazed fans that may never even have been graced by her presence, who have only seen her in magazines and would never ever have an opportunity to even meet her face to face. Upsetting, but dismissible, until one message catches his eye……

A message from a close friend, also handsome, also an athlete, but one with legs…and…BABABOOM!!!.. Volatility manifests in the form of jeopardised trophy disorder. The trophy being Reeva! He has just recently won her and WILL NOT lose her to anyone!

Insecurity + volatility + possible hormonal imbalance = temporary insanity. The product of this lethal combination is one crazy gun-slinging mthrf#*#er who’s incapable of stopping himself until he’s fired five rounds of ammo into a 1 m² (one square meter) toilet!

FACT

Reeva is dead and Oscar Pistorius was the one who pulled the trigger of his own handgun which lead to her death. No circumstances can justify his gross negligence and irresponsible handling of a firearm. No matter what element of fear or what feeling of vulnerability he claims to have had, he acted in the most cowardly and reckless way…a criminal way which deserves the worst form of punishment.

Would a pilot feeling vulnerable eject from a plane filled with passengers?

Would a father blindly lash out at apparent danger if he knows there is a fraction of a chance that he could kill his child in the process?

We all know that the answers to these questions would be a definite NO!!!!!

No matter what stories the defence may try to concoct about which side of the bed he slept on, how dark the bedroom may have been, how “threatening” the noise in the toilet may have seemed, how Reeva failed to hear his desperate screams or how he failed to hear her concerned reply, how he failed to notice that she was not in the bed when he reached for his gun right next to where she should’ve been sleeping,……OSCAR IS GUILTY OF KILLING REEVA!!! Whether in cold blood, whether due to insane fear, no matter what picture you try to paint, there is NO EXCUSE for this reckless taking of a life.

I believe Oscar deserves the same outcome that was bestowed on Jacob Humphreys, the grossly negligent Blackheath Taxi driver who were found guilty of the MURDER of 10 schoolchildren.
