Now that is has been highlighted Reeva’s parents are in financial trouble, people are saying they have hired a lawyer to get money from Oscar. Had he not committed a crime and brought their fragile lives into the spotlight, there journey and circumstance would be on-going and private.
I would still support them to sue Oscar in a civil capacity even if they were millionaires purely for justice.
How many people have been in a predicament where making a decision is going to be held ransom by individuals who will never have to experience your fate? How many people will have the guts to actually make a decision in adversity while your spirit is busy being crushed by circumstances out of your control?
There is no wrath extended to Oscar now and in the future that will ever bring Reeva back because he is who he is. And if money taken away from him is going to cause him pain, so be it.
