Rwanda-20 years on : From Mob Rule to Machiavellian Order

15 April 2014, 10:53

April 6th , 1994 the genocide rocked this small country in the heart of Africa. Paul Kagame - himself accused of crimes against humanity has manged to melt the tutsi -hutu differences through machiavellian mechanisms and still the bloodlust that turned ordinary citizens once upon a time into cold blooded killers... the atrocities that occurred in this tiny nation were indescribable brutal and even now people dont seem to understand how brutal this war was. Ove 1 million people were butchered in a short time...but this butchery didnt start from nowhere...it began with tribal feuds and was fueled by tribal hate speech... and when the genocide was ignited by the matches of hatred for ones fellow man... the wave of violence spread across the land and engulfed everyone.... but 20 years on ...rwanda is a model of clenliness and order... thanks to the machiavellina hand of paul kagame...its dictator...

I visited this country in 1982 . I visited the Ruhnegeri National park and its mountain gorillas...its verdant green hills and its curious people - some who had never seen a white man before... and I was struck by the warm heart and the hospitality of its rural people... some times I would have over 2-300 children follow me out of the villages as I walked along the peaceful lake kivu from cyangugu to gisenyi...( around 140km) ..and it is 20 years on now that we commemorate the massacre of the innocents... and we ask oursleves...but how..? how could this happen? where evn teachers and nuns joined in the holocaust of histroic proportions... and it is easy to say..." oh..it was just tribla hatred that caused it..." but no... this tribal hate began from somewhere... and it eneded up somewhere... it all began with words ...spoken by men and women in authority... hate speech led to trbally or racially motivated violence. And we , as South Africans can learn from this terribleexample of what man can do to man...

one such example is the farm attacks and murders that have occurred in South Africa since 1994. And whilst Julius Malema was found guilty of hate speech in court... has he apologised for it publicly to the victims of those farm murders..those boers who were indeed butchered...and desecrated by the disciples of the hatred and those words spoken for cheap political points...No... he hasnt... I read that Malema was in the Eastern Cape apologising to Mbekis mother... -for what? for saying something bad about Mbeki? - lets look at Mbeki and his achievements... if we compare his policies and what Malema is saying...there isnt much difference. Any kind of aparthied you promtoe and for whatever reason you promote it...by your speech or by your action...is still discrimiantion against your fellow man. And for that I will not apologise for saying Mbeki has conducted himself as a racist for his BEE policies... which havnt empowered the majority of this countrys disenfranchised...but in fatc have further polarised the people of this nation from one another... and that is why...looking at the Rwandan tragedy and its shift from one pole to another... we, in South Africa have a lot to learn about what produces poverty and discrimination and racism... that is why we at the Africa Unite party not only call for a NEW contract with the people...we call for a sunset clause on the BEE policy and any other aprtheid law that discriminates one south african from another south african.

Will Machiavellian law or rule work in Rwanda? not in the long term...the only way for people to make peace with one another is to start treating one another as equal...and that is still what has not happened her ein this country thanks to people like Malema and Mbeki and Zuma... for them... they have nothing to offer our country but poverty and disempowerment and want...and disgrace in the eys of humanty as other exampels of hiostory like the Armenian genocide  in 1922, the Jewsish holocaust in the second world war and the Bosnian tragedy... if we do not stop this hate speech and hate policies of the EFF and the ANC... we are heading for a great disatser in this country; a disastrer that will affect all South Africans.

All great things begin with small things...- we are the smallest party in this election..but we have the biggest vision and the biggest heart... we want to see a colorless society and a united africa from Cape To Cairo from Johannesburg to Lagos... we can if we think we can... its all up to you on May 7th... Vote the AUP on May 7th ; and togther we will make real chnage in this nation ... together we will be stronger...

AFRICA SHALL BE ONE!
