Safe sex

Isn't it weird that in every public spot, there is a box of condoms provided by the government in promotion of safe sex, having only male condoms? What about the females? Don't they have a say in promoting safe sex?

My argument comes after I have noticed that in every rest-room on campus and its residences,at the train station's rest-rooms, the cafeteria around the corner, there are male condoms distributed in big numbers, but I never see female condoms being distributed in such mass numbers as well, yet during the HIV/AIDS testing and safe-sex orienteering, we are told about female condoms and as hampers for taking part in knowing our statuses, we are given them freely. What does the government say about this?

Because I believe that they are distributed by the government afterall, does this mean that only males are responsible for safe sex? What about the females who want to engage in sex but they can't because their sex partners do not want to use condoms? Or even do not have condoms?

Is it an implication that females do not have a say in bed, only males are? When are the females going to feel responsible about their sex-lives and stop blaming males when they are pregnant? Blame them for not having a condom when they were meant to have sex? Blame them for the burst condom? When? Isn't it high time that the government really promoted safe sex equally as we are told that we are all equal in this country?

The excuse comes with the fact that female condoms are costy as compared to the male condoms, but to tell the truth, can't the government spare some of the money for promoting safe sex? After-all, we are all fighting against STI's and unprepared pregnancies, right? But then how can we achieve such, when females are taken so little when coming to bed issues? I write this story to the minister of Health, Dr. Aaron Motswaledi, sir! can you please and please, promote equal safe sex???

Clinics and hospitals, please and please promote the female condoms so that all females could know about it and start acting, from what I know is that a female condom can be put inside the vagina for a certain period of time until used, unlike the males'.
