Sanral can suck my e-Toll

21 September 2012, 07:23

So once again our cANCer ridden Government has managed to override the will of the nation. Is it a coincidence that this ruling comes so soon after Mogoeng Mogoeng (Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court and another Zuma enforced appointee) has taken office?

I will back any passive resistance called for by COSATU and I urge everyone else to do the same. Even to a simple layman one can see that the laws forced through by dodgy legislation are not in line with what has been stated by SANRAL. Public transport is not excluded, for one, as they have indicated so that means all taxi’s and busses will have to pay tolls too. I want to see this happen.

The current legislation is ridden with errors and unless they are cleared up fast our courts are going to be clogged with cases testing all these ambiguities. Should a few thousand people not pay the e-toll on a daily basis the courts will be inundated with cases and that will just lead to even further chaos in our Justice system.

SANRAL have not been transparent about the tolling process from day one and when they have been caught out in lies, smoke and mirrors they have resorted to threats and new laws to force the general public to comply. SANRAL are forcing us to become a nation of criminals by threatening to not have vehicles licences renewed, what is next…our driver’s licences?

The current Government had better take note of history when it comes to pushing through thoughtless laws to close loopholes and bend the will of a nation, it did not work for the National Party and it won’t work for the cANCer either.

SANRAL can suck my e-Toll before I pay one toll, see you in court.
