We all agree (well most of us) that the money spent on Zuma's personal household, at Nkandla, is shocking to say the least, given the poverty in the country. But the latest report on the road connecting Kranskop to Nkandla is really clutching at straws. If you want to criticise, criticise what is relevant, not everything in the vicinity.
R290million on the road connecting the two towns is money well spent. I estimate the length is about 40 odd km, so the cost per km is really modest. The area is pretty rural, going through the Tugela valley. If you look at a map there are few major roads in the area. So in this case, I'd say money well spent. These communities also deserve a decent infrastructure.
Don't spoil a real issue by bringing up nonsensical criticism. It waters down the real issue, gives fuel to those trying to defend something which really is bad.
