My article yesterday, http://www.news24.com/MyNews24/Why-Religion-needs-to-be-opposed-20130308, rather than provoking thought provoked rage. Rage seems to be the province of people that have no real identity. The people that were attacking my piece seemed to lack the courage to stand up and be counted with few exceptions.
I even suspect one of these anonymous "real" Christians to be within my circle of "friends" They seem to have a decided opinion about me and have some real knowledge about me that is not really in the public eye. I just wanted to make sure these folks understand that I will continue discussing the wuckfittery that is religion until it is separated from politics, until it is not practiced and taught in schools, until I can walk through town without having someone offer to pray for my demon infested soul.
I have a dream of attending a public meeting and it not being consecrated to the God of the hour, I have a dream of being able to enjoy the company of friends without discussing the "great" message by the evangelist of the week. I have a dream of not having women subtly disenfranchised by "mighty men". I have a dream of people from all backgrounds being able to have a civil conversation without arguing about whose God is the mightiest. I have a dream of 10 South Africans getting together to burn some meat without forming 7 political parties and 11 churches.
I was reminded yesterday that we don't have the extremes in religion here as they do in the land of the free and the brave. My thoughts lead me to the conclusion that nobody stood up and said. "What wuckfittery is this?" when the ideas were mere irritants rather than a major problem.
When you attend a political meeting and the politicians claim the moral high ground because they are anointed as leaders by their Gods, that is the time to speak and stop them, not when they have their grubby paws on the reigns, when the only way to get them off the horse is with a well placed piece of lead.
Politics and religion should never meet, They each have their own house and their own altars. Let's keep it that way.
Oh reporting my comments so that they get deleted doesn't make your argument stronger, All it does is prove that you are an intolerant bigot. Even if I disagree with your folly, I will fight for your right to show the world just how stupid you are. Censorship is for sissies.
