Service Delivery Protests Continue:-

22 January 2014, 09:25

What we have seen over the few weeks or even a few moths, service delivery is a big concern in South Africa.  Service delivery is poor in our communities and some residents don’t even have the basic services such as running water, electricity or a descent house to stay in, some people are still making use of the bucket system.  What we have recently witnessed is communities standing together and protests over the poor conditions they have to live in. These protests are taking place all over South Africa and were and tension is running high .We will be celebrating 20 years of democracy and this practice is still shocking.

Mayors and Municipal Managers must be held accountable for this practice and we would like to call on all political parties not to make promises to residents prior to the elections that can’t be kept.

We would like to encourage people to make sure they are registered to vote in the 2014 elections and go and fight at the polls and support a party of their choice and a party that can deliver services to the best of their ability.
