Aren’t we just becoming such a bunch of complacent sheeple in this country that has a rich and chequered past of strife and mayhem? This fool we have installed as our president is once again running roughshod over us by calling the shots in the Arms Deal enquiry.
He was charged for participating up to his elbows in this black blot in our country’s history and in true ANC fashion, garnered the dumb as mud troops consisting out of a myriad of assorted riffraff like the ANCYL and Cosatu to do his bidding for him. All protests were drowned in a sea of this dancing idol singing for an imaginary machinegun and a dumb, obese kid shrieking like a schoolgirl at some rock concert that he will kill anyone opposing this farce. Well, the rest is history and we are stuck with him!
Now, years after the fact of an issue that just refuses to die, he sanctimoniously grants us, the sheeple, a green olive branch in the form of a State sanctioned enquiry into the murky waters of corruption, bribery and most other ills an emerging, corrupt to the bone government could possibly wish for. He drags his feet for another couple of months while the Commission is handpicked to ensure that he and his cronies are aired out of this stinking mess like a new Glade air freshener and we all start losing hope of a fair outcome.
Last night we are treated to the Zoomer touch when some crony from the Justice Department informs us on the main news bulletin, that none other than the person knee deep in this muck will have the sanctioning power to decide if the report on the enquiry will be released or not!
Are we really just plain stupid for allowing this farce to continue as I see no outcry on any news page, nor any discussions on the issue on Talk Radio anywhere, lulling me into the belief that this stupidity is sanctioned by us, the people of this country as a good and fair route to proceed on? If so, we are more of a laughing stock in the world that I have previously imagined, as this screams Banana to the world like nothing ever did!
We are further informed that this Commission can take up to two years to complete its work and some idiot is given carte blanche to gallivant across the globe to his heart’s content to pursue evidence in this matter……all on our tax money and we are not even given the assurance that this will lead to some form of justice?
We really became a nation of pathetic sheeple standing in the proverbial line to be slaughtered by idiots dumber than mud, using our own resources to do so. And this from a people of all creeds and colours that fought on opposing sides for decades for a better life for all! I stand ashamed while listening to the sound of our heroes on all sides spinning in their graves!!
