Silence of the worlds

26 July 2012, 10:22

I am typing this in stunned disbelief. I have done some research on farm murders in South Africa, and accidentally did the search in Google Images, rather than Google.  Please do yourself the favour.  Do not do the search.  It is gruesome to say the least.  As I pressed enter after typing "South African farm murders", I was presented with pictures so terrifying that I could not belief that it is from the country I call home.

I am begging of the world, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE see what kind of cruelty and inhumanity is going on in South Africa.  Please explain to me from a humanitarian point of view what makes our farmers a forgotten collection of victims of the most heinous crimes thinkable?  Why is everyone silent on this, but when a shooter kills people in a cinema in the United States, there are hours of speculation, analysis and repeats on all international news bulletins?  Why is this not considered genocide?

The most basic of human rights is the right to life and personal safety.  A right that our government is supposed to defend.  Yet, they will declare war on smoking.  They will moan about toilets.  They will start road safety campaigns.  But they will do NOTHING to stop these murders, and all the other murders happening in our country.  There is NO worldwide outcry.  We whites have been painted so badly that the world now do not care.

Our government has the blood of 20000 people per year on their hands.  They are directly responsible through their lack of care.  They have R2billion to spend on a presidential plane or two, but they will not boost the Police service.  They govern over people that does cruelty with impunity.  Just today it became news that 4 men were laughing when faced with the fact that they killed a 12 year old boy by drowning him in BOILING water.  What kind of animal does that?

But what is far worse than the people doing these crimes, are the people who let it happen.  Through the collective silence of the government and the media in its everlasting quest for being politically correct, thousands of people lose their lives in this country.  Nobody is safe, except the ministers in their expensive protected house enclaves.

At the end of the day, it is not the government that is most guilty.  The guilt lies with YOU, the person that sits and reads about another murder, but just sighs and keeps quiet.  The guilt lies with the media, who keeps quiet at this gross violation of human rights. The guilt lies with Barack Obama, and David Cameron.  It lies with Media 24 and Rupert Murdoch.  It lies with Jacob Zuma and Koos van der Merwe.  It lies with everyone that lives in stunned silence.

Please do the Google IMAGE search I talked about. Be prepared to be shocked.  Then go and shock the world into reality.  You owe it to the farmers who put the food on your table, to every parent that mourned a child murdered, to every child that lost a parent.  You owe it to yourself!
