Sisters With Voices; that’s what they are. Yep, SWV!

30 July 2013, 13:33
Brothers, our sisters have come a long way. Not only are they earning more than us now, they are leading companies and some of them are even leading countries. What shall we do? How do we respond? How do we take things forward? I have an idea. Let’s surprise them. They will never know what hit them.

Let’s encourage them. Let’s push them to excel even more. Yep! They are asking for freedoms. Let’s give them the leeway and see what happens. Let’s remove the shackles that hold them back. See how much progress they have made with all the challenges and constraints. Imagine how much further they will go with our full support and encouragement. By virtue of being female, they have to work twice as hard. Why, brothers should we treat our own flesh and blood like this. We talk about being sophisticated and moving with the times. Let's get it on. Let's live up to our own words, principles and ideals.

Some of us will have to admit that long before we had any clue what was going on, our sisters were already being taught about leadership, right there before our own eyes at home. While we laughed away our free time with friends or watched tv all day, our sisters were already being guided in how to manage one of life’s precious assets, time. Even though they were going to school like us, they still had to make time for washing clothes, cooking and doing the dishes. Yes we did help now and then for us but for us it torture.

The sisters seem to have taken those simple lessons from childhood and applied them to all spheres of life. We see the impact in their leadership. There is an element of decisiveness in their action. There is not a random action or word with the sisters. They are strategists, they are planners, in the home, in the community, at work and in business. Balancing time is not an issue to them, it is second nature. They have been multi-tasking long before we knew there was such a concept.

Nothing can hold the sisters back. Do not lift a hand or raise your voice to the sisters. If you are deeply upset with them, look within yourself and think very carefully about what you will say or do next that may affect the future of our nation, the future of our continent, the future of our world.

Do not smother them, let them soar like the eagles that they are. If our sisters, partners, wives, mothers are progressing it is because something inspires them, they have something worth living for.

Brothers, if the sisters rise, you will rise as well. Rise with them. Can we toast to that! The sisters have a voice, let it be heard to the ends of the earth.

Sisters With Voices; that’s what they are. Yep,SWV!
