So which Religion is right?

19 April 2013, 09:00
With all the debates, I can now way in on this heated topic and hopefully bring some logic and sanity to the tables.
First and mostly we must understand where religions can come from, and I don't mean Hollywood with movies like Ben-Hur and The Ten Commandments.

Also, all religions have a starting point and depending on the financial governance of the leaders or the dedication of the supporters, could even have an ending.

So let's analyse the major and minor religions to decide for ourselves which one is right.
Christianity - This started with Christ and continues to this day.  There seems to be a split between Protestant and Catholic though.  Most South Africans seem to be Christian.

Muslim - This started with a prophet called Mohammed in Saudi and also continues to this day.  I don't think there is any split as such but the nations do fight a lot with one another.

Hindu - This is a completely different religion with many gods and beliefs and I can't understand all of it cause it would be too much for me to absorb and I'm busy with other things.

Jewish - This started with the Bible and Adam and Eve.  I don't know what is then different from Christian but I know that there is a matter of circumcising that is maybe not enjoyed by everyone?  I won't change I think to Jewish because it would cause much pain for me.

Atheist - This is also a strange religion and from what is seen on News24, it has some of the most zealous and religious followers of all the religions.  Also its not then clear which gods they worship, if they can be atheist scientists or atheist authors or even people like Charles Darwin who invented evolution.

So that is summary for the most followed religions and now it's up to people to decide for selves which one is right.  But maybe the question must be asked which one is right for you?

I have my own beliefs but that is my business to know and I don't like to have intelligent debates about religions because people can be upset and even swear at you.

And one another thing, we should unsure that News24 stays a place of peace, love and twenty-twenty focus in any debates.  This is just plainly oblivious.
