South Africans used to be nice people

09 January 2013, 10:43
The Afrikaners had a song "Afrikaners is plesierig" and all. I think it is sad what we have become as a nation, The people seem to have an attitude of "What's in it for me?" and "Stuff you Jack, I am OK"

I read the article about the man who died of a heart attack caused by stress, because of a hotel booking gone wrong, The comments flabbergasted me. Immediate condemnation for a man they have never met, and had no clue about. Really?

My Gran always taught me that if you had nothing nice to say it would be better to shut your yap. I think this is advice that many South Africans should apply.

When four people pay R 19000 as a group, it works out at R r 4 750.00 each. If they had saved R 475 a month each it would have taken only 10 months to save that money. Accusations of Corruption and Bribery seem to be very harsh unless of course you have evidence, in which case you should hand it to the Police, not make anonymous allegations on a news site.

If I was family of that man I would track your IP, find you and sue you for slander.

Yep the stupid is strong in some, and the nasty even stronger.

Commanding heights carry influenc...

Throughout the decades, and even in South Africa, this reference to the commanding heights became almost synonymous with the socialist and populist project. I think I have even heard Malema on occasion referring to the need to get control of the “heights”. Read more...
