South Africa's very own Ku Klux Klan

31 January 2013, 09:00

As South Africans, we are all very aware of the issues and challenges which currently face our country and our society. Most people discuss these issues on a daily basis in some form or another which is to be expected as these are issues which may affect us all.

We as a nation often discuss the politics within our country, the crime rates, money, taxes, education, health care, safety and security, rhino poaching, poverty as well as protests and riots and so on.

However, there is another monstrous problem that seems to get much less attention than it should. A problem that I have noticed has gone quietly undetected and which has not caused as much of an outrage as I feel that it personally should have received.

This is the vile and disgusting existence of “Die Kommandokorp”. Situated somewhere in the Netherlands (the exact location is not given and for good reason I might add) is the extremist right-winged group who practise and preach open and blatant racism against black people and “non-Afrikaaners”.

They hold numerous “holiday camps” throughout the year where they “train” young, Afrikaans boys in a military style boot camp to prepare them for a civil war against the black people of South Africa. They too imprint blatant and idiotic racism into the young and impressionable minds of these teenage boys, burn the new South African flag and anthem, Slander Nelson Mandela and his beliefs of freedom and equality and make sure they install an apartheid mentality into these children.

Their leaders preach the praise of Eugene Terre’Blanche and the old National Party government. The founder of this demented coup is a man who was previously a general in the South African Army before the end of apartheid. He states openly that in South Africa, “You are either a racist, or you are blind!”

To know that such an “organization” actually exists makes me sick to my stomach and it makes my blood boil. What in the world is wrong with these people? Have they no education, no morality, no ethical compass and no clear indication of the modern world and the description of a democracy?

People are entitled to their own opinion, but this is just so pathetic and shameful. We have our very own disgraceful Ku Klux Klan in South Africa. One which should be associated with disgust and embarrassment. We have racists of all kinds here but to proudly advocate this obviously irrational and extremist mindset not only to the public but to the youth of this country who are supposed to be our future is sad.

Their atrocious, little camp or “ground zero” should be burned to the ground in my opinion along with their outdated teachings.

I ask you with tears in my eyes, why are there still imbeciles like this around? What makes them feel they have the right to hate somebody because they have a black skin or because they are not culturally from an Afrikaans background and have more recent ties to Europe?

Is that not the stupidest thing you have ever heard of? The only thing these people portray is a bunch of ignorant and hateful morons. Clearly they need to be slapped into touch with reality and get a life.
