Speak up!

15 November 2012, 07:34

If any one of you has been watching the mounting chaos in the Cape, you HAVE to realise that South Africa is not only on a downward spiral, it's circling the drain.

To every one of you who has ever said 'it's not so bad,' or 'we can fix it if we try,' I want to say: PLEASE realise that positive thinking cannot fix South Africa today.

South Africa today is not a country. It's a collection of societies, with the predominant one being a mob of people who are uneducated (thanks to the ANC), angry about the failures of the ANC, and who have been riled up by the ANC.

They may be ignorant, and their views may be dead wrong in our present day South Africa, but that does not matter. They don't see the news stories about the wholesale theft and corruption in the ANC. They don't see textbooks floating in rivers. They don't see the sheer idiocy and gross mismanagement.

Thanks to the idiots that preceded them, they have the perfect scapegoat - apartheid. As long as they have that, they can do no wrong, and they can steal, murder, rob, rape and pillage our country at will.

The 'masses' don't see a criminal masquerading as a politician. They see a black guy in a smart suit, driving a flash car, telling them that it's YOU who is standing in their way of having the same things.

They don't realise that without the 'capitalists' socialism can never work. They don't know that your tax pays for their social grants, or that you volunteer on weekends.

They are angry, and they've been told to be angry with YOU.

Stop burying your heads in the sand, for god's sake!

Start speaking. Tell the world what is going on in South Africa. FORCE them to see that while there may be legitmate issues in South Africa today, if they don't do something, SOON, none of that will matter.

I may be a chicken runner. I may have chosen to read the writing on the wall, interpret it as dismal, and take my family somewhere safe. But my heart lives in SA, and it always will. It beats for my family and friends.

I've said before that civil war may be the best thing for South Africa, and in theory, that's true. However, as the country stands on the cusp of that very scenario, I find myself trying to bargain with the universe. ANYTHING but this!

While there's still a small chance, PLEASE do something. One email to the UN. One blog post on an international site. One video on Youtube. Alone, they may not do much, but as the old motto used to say, 'Ex Unitate Vires.' From unity, strength.

Every person who doesn't want to see South Africa burn, NOW is the time to stand up and say something.

If the current tide of violence is to be stopped in time, or at all, EVERY person who does not agree with it must make a stand, and force the world to pay attention.

It won't take much. The stories are out there already. BBC, Washington Post, and many other international news sites. The world is waking up. Raise your voice, and make them take that final step. Before it's too late.
