State of Emergency

03 June 2013, 20:24

I fail to believe that my people are doomed for failure. The only masses who complain when parties and bashes do not have alcohol, but celebrate when lecturers are absent in classes and cry out free period.

Come exclusions we have the biggest bunch of appeal scripts. We complain at food price hike but Amstel jumped from 10 rand to 13 rand and not a single soul mourned. My people invented T.G.I.F (thank God its Friday), a reflection of our unwillingness of to effectively develop our community and country, for ourselves and our countrymen, evident when office hours finish at 4 pm but the office worker is on Facebook at 3:15 and by 3:45 pm he/she is shutting down the computer with 15 min left of work; not to mention the sign at the door said closed about an hour ago.

We have strategically named every day of the  week as an excuse to go out and be intoxicated. Monday (bhabhalaza day), Tuesday (fish braai day), Wednesday (ladies night), Thursday (phuza Thursday, free shots at starlight), Friday to Saturday is weekend and Sunday is a Sunday chill. *sigh*

The leaders who ought to uphold humanity and be the embodiment of the people's aspirations have allowed it to transpire through unlimited rights and lack of responsible, tabulated for each and every citizen to show signs of patriotism for one's country. This a passage way to prove right our past oppressors and the new neo-colonialists.

No one thrives to be anything great these days other than to be an average person just to get by. This new bread is as a result of non-innovative, too strict and instruction education system. A system that requires absorption of past knowledge and no platform inquire nor possible solutions to difficulties faced in acquiring the past knowledge.

This give birth to narrow minded graduates who will take their first qualifications for University and spent ten years in 1 job operating and maintaining a machine, Just as long as they got that Golf 6 and can afford a huge tab at a local sports bar or club.

So many fields and aspects of life than need to be visited and explored in Azania but the institutions are delaying progress so that they can ought source, researchers, mining companies, shipping companies because our sons and daughters are incompetent and wake every 2nd morning with hangovers.

I am you who is reading, this has crossed your mind just as much as it crossed mine.

I still remain to say, I know this much but yet i refuse to believe that's all we are worth, maybe its because i am naive, or is it because i am part-same with my people and qualifies me to be as narrow minded.

I wont say wake up my people because you are up but rather, bluntly said, ignorant of what is of paramount importance 4 our growth and development.
