TV news channels on 2014 Elections

05 April 2014, 05:45

It was not a mistake that Mehlareng stadium in Tembisa was filled to capacity compared to DA so called election manifesto. Some surveys are clearly made to deceive people. But I urge fighters not to be deterred by such surveys. People who even analyse the results are questionable. How many ANC members support EFF but fear to come out now? They fear for their jobs and positions.

ANN7

These ones are even funny. At first I saw them covering all parties fairly only to find that it was a trick. The other time they spent 15 minutes of 30 minutes news reporting about poor Malusi “Marriage destroyer” Gigaba campaigning is some area in rural KZN. Some parts of the 15 minutes coverage was given to the ANC. As the study was made to favour ANC, there was no way it can seem to be losing votes. The aim of such studies is to deceive people.

Now they come with a survey claiming it is that biggest ever and they really do want us to believe what they came with as results. They have this analyst, the Indian guy, I forgot his name and he is giving us such poor analysis while they claim is their senior analyst.  Firstly out of about 23 million registered voters, 5000 does not even make 1% of the 23 million registered. If the survey was done to about 5million people, it could give at least a better chance of predictions. Out of that survey they admitted that some are not registered to vote and we must not even rely on such things at all. Now it is extended to 700 people while reducing EFF chances of doing well in polls. Here we must strictly use commong sense, although is not common, this channel is owned by people who are friends to Zuma and some in ANC like Gigaba, so what do we expect?

We must reject such surveys by all means. At ANN7 is funny even with people who worked out the results. No single black person is allowed simply because EFF is mainly for black people. This study was made to discourage EFF members and is rejected at all costs. How do you interview all blacks and come back to say FF plus stand no chance? That is actually obvious and therefore such a survey must state it clear that parties like FF plus are not included. They must stop telling us what they wish.

ENCA

They say no fear and no favour. Before I used to think that they are promoting DA but now I can see that they are almost living by their slogan. This is the only credible news channel on TV. Not biased, doing their job when they even cover fairly the so called Dagga party. I will not be surprised if statistics favours them as the channel with the highest viewership. I have no much to say about them now but I’m watching them close.

SABC

The ANC just set the tone and believe me they will feel the pain one day. That day they will feel the most pressure and have no valid points to argue about. We have people we like on SABC, news readers like Leanne Manas who used to present with my favourite the late Vuyo Mbuli is one of my best news readers. +

Honestly it is so difficult to watch them giving us good news, they are shadowed by news edited at Luthuli House where they were informed never to tell any good news about Julius Malema and EFF.

For example how do you explain the coverage of the news for EFF Tembisa manifesto in less than 10 seconds? The biggest manifesto of a new political party ever to happen in South Africa but you are denied access to see beautiful Leanne unfolding the good news. At least Thuli Madonsela is fighting to end this madness. What we see now is all news readers at SABC are painted with black, green and gold. When you watch SABC news you see ANC canvassing in full swing.

This is not right, this is unfair, this is what the ANC will feel pressure about one day and this is what makes the SABC less attractive. How do you explain that 3 members of EFF defected to ANC to make news?

Such confused people are not to be covered because they are not even serious news but SABC manages to cover such useless news due to Blade Nzimande. You people take us for granted.
