Take matters into your own hands

20 July 2012, 21:17

We see and hear that there is poverty in south africa every day , peolpe living on the streets ,  with cardboards as blankets ,and we complain and point fingers as to how government is lacking to solve this issues. Jobless people ,uneducated people ,the blame all goes to goverment. This leads me ,a proudly South Afrianc citizen to ask just one simply question. WHAT ARE WE CITIZENS DOING ABOUT THESE PROMBLEMS.

We can rant and rave about economic growth , we can strike for days on end for service delivery ,but get  no where in the process . How many safe house do we have in South africa, Shelter houses that can take homeless people ,how many soup kitchens have been places to help out.Why do we need Government to address this issues when we can stand together and solve them ourselves?
How many well know self made bussiness man are doing their part to help the less fortunate in our country.
Why do government officials need funds from the government itself to be able to do anything? ,why can they not take funds out of their own heavy pockets to do something that will make a difference?. Why do they only help out when it suits them or when their "efforts"will be recorded on national television. Why is that only on days like Tata Mandels birthday do we as africans stand together and celebrate helping out those who are less fortunate?.
Why can we not do it every day? Mandel paved the way, why have we stoped. All that we know to do is to sit and watch what the Government promises to do next, and complain about it if it has not been done as if we actually believed it would be done ..
Yes there are people doing their part but there  are to many people who are short sighted and negatively opinionated for anything to go forward .

My own personal oppion is that the only way South Africa is going to develop is if we can shut out all those arrogant ,ungratefull individuals that are only interested in their own personal benifits. Sorry to say but most of this people are in our Government.

South Africa get off you high horses , bring your eyes down from looking  up to government to do things and start doing something yourselves. It has been made quite obvious that government is failing.
