Myself like most South Africans are stuck with Telkom as a line provider. I suppose there is nobody else to go with, no competition. So why is the service so horrible. I am writing this because i have had endless troubles for years. Recently my line now just drops all connections for no apparent reasons, and gives me a horrible upload rate.
Come on Telkom, just visiting your Facebook page i can see that nobody is willing to support you. Here is a statement i think most people might agree on. Telkom, do your job properly or give it to somebody that can.
Don't get me wrong, this is not some hate speech. This is more like constructive criticism. Every single vote on your Facebook page has received 1/5 stars (would be less if you could but 0) 20 Reviews in a row distinctly show that you are not doing your best.
It has gotten to the point for me where one of the only reasons i want to leave this beautiful country is because of the overpriced, horrible quality internet. I could go and get Google Fiber for the same price you would pay for a 4mb line here.
I am not going to mention names but here are some messages all over your facebook wall: "ONE week with no ADSL - despite promises from Telkom! And Telkom is VERY fast to call you on analogue line to find out how you rate their telephone manners...What does that help??"
"Malodorous, deceptive, incompetent, dishonest."
"My line has been down since 08/11/13. I logged a call and was given a ref number. 15 minutes later I received a SMS to say the line has been restored, which was not the case, so I called again and was given another ref number:88crk081113. This morning I've been holding on since 7:00am without any luck and note I'm calling from my cell phone. You better improve this call centre service, it is pathetic!!"
These are just few of the hundreds of South Africans complaining.
All of the South Africans really need to take a stand as this is ridiculous.
