Removing most "Traditional" limitations to architectural design adds whole new dimension to innovation. In today's High Tech world of CAD design, innovation, practicality and functionality have fused into an immensely capable industry, of complex and beautiful structures.
I have been mesmerised by architecture on my travels, although I'm no connoisseur, the detail and innovation in conventional infrastructure is quite incredible...
More recently, however, the myriad of tensile structures seen in industries such as Hospitality, Architectural, Stadium Construction, Airports & Agricultural (among others) got me wondering..."How far can they push the limits?"
Higher resistance materials in various forms now include "self cleansing", translucence, stretch fabrics, longer life-spans and a host of improvements on structural materials.Add to these kaleidoscope of options, the design capabilities using the latest software combined with highly experienced innovators and it becomes an architects playground to suit the most imaginative tradesmen.
On a negative note, however, there are many smaller businesses popping up here and there trying to make a quick buck...so..."Buyer Beware".Sub-standard materials, deformities in design integrity and manufacturing standards must be strictly adhered to, so please check credentials before making financial commitments that may put your own credibility on the line while costing you dearly. Always insist on an ISO 9001 approved manufacturer, and get references. As a sidebar, some manufacturers are actually "stretching" the limits of integrity by using images on their websites that belong to leading companies...illegally.http://www.mttstructures.co.za
