I would like to raise the following, knowing that I am opening myself for harsh criticism, mockery and ridicule, for that is the sole objective of some of the people here. In a time where politicians and modern society is really trying hard to make us all believe that we are all equal and that all religions are equal, skin color and culture does not exist, I would like to refresh the minds and thoughts of my own ethnic group and culture.
Here is where I may be labelled by some as a racist for I did dare mention skin colour. Let me assure you it was not mentioned because of dislike but more from a cultural perspective for black people and races have different cultures. The onslaught is also against Zulu, Xosa, Pedi, Venda etc etc.
I do not know those cultures thus I cannot speak on their behalf, but I can speak for my own.
What is a Boer in this context? It is not a khaki dressed guy driving a tractor on a farm, planting crops and raising cattle. Thus bear with me on the short history of the “Boer” nation, for some probably better known as “Afrikaners”. Let me immediately point out the difference between a “Boer” and an “Afrikaner”.
Basically everyone whose 1st language is Afrikaans is labeled “Afrikaners”, which including Colourds and black people who speak Afrikaans as a 1st language. Before other races start jumping up and down. I am not at all criticizing you or putting you down.
I am a “Boer” and the onslaught against the “Boer” was in some case more severe than any other race on earth. Why? For we do not just accept any indoctrination, we are not easy to convince that we are wrong in our ways, we do no tend to follow the road most travelled but prefer our own way, and that does not fit in in the modern Society. For the Boer was and has always been a nation of rebels, fighters, hard headed (To our own detriment at times), conservative mostly and highly religious in the Calvinistic believes.
The Boer originated mainly from Dutch and included Calvinists, such as Flemish and Frisian Calvinists, as well as French Huguenot and German and British protestants who first arrived in the Cape of Good Hope during the period of its administration (1652 – 1795) by the Dutch East India Company (Verenigde Oostindische Compagnie or VOC)( As per Wikipedia).
I Have pointed out that the above mentioned groups were all rebels, who no longer was willing to be oppressed in their respective countries. Suddenly one day you had all these groups at the South Point of Africa, rebellious hard headed people. Say no more – Hence the Boer and the Groot Trek when the Brits (Mighty England) want to oppress us once more.
The Boer nation has always had a strong Christian upbringing and up to today probably still has a much stronger religious and Biblical foundation than most other. This is a threat for we are not always willing to just accept other indoctrinations and ideas. A threat to what you may ask. The new way , the new order, the ..we are all equal and our gods/religions/cultures are all the same.
The Boer Believed in the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost and it is not similar or equal to any other religion on earth. The Boer love the outdoors, lives close to nature and has its roots exactly there, in nature and its Bible (Ok, it used to be ). I know quite few whose views are quite different.
Below is what a few very well-known men have said about the Boer. These were said during World War 2 so see it in that context. It should give you an idea of what the Boer is all about, the strength, the culture.

In the 2nd Boer war the Boer prisoners (women and Children) in the Concentration camps were subjected to such tortious practices that it can be compared to Nazi camps. From my own family experience, the women were raped in the camps by the British Soldiers, Tent flaps were lifted in winter and water thrown in so as to ensure the prisoners get sick, broken glass were mixed into their food etc etc.
Our family has lost a few children in the camps. They did not survive the war. The world never said a thing about it and up to today the UK is very non apologetic and shoulder shrugging about it all.
The onslaught today against my culture, my Christian religion my heritage is probably more severe than during the wars, for now it’s very subtle. It is on TV, it is in the media, it is in almost everything in modern society.
For some reason the world has always seen the metal of the Boer as a threat and they want it destroyed, simply because it does not fit in in the Vision of the New World Order. Quite a few or our recent politicians has openly pledge their support to the New World Order in public. I have personally seen President Thabo Mbeki say (On TV, just after his inauguration), “We are now ready to be Incorporated into the New World Order”. In short. A pledge to my fellow Boers. Stand strong, be aware of the onslaught to destroy us (and for the record other cultures as well) .
The Boer nation had to face many perils, threats and dangers, let us prevail through these new ones as well and grows stronger by standing together to face it. Be proud of what you are and treasure your uniqueness. You are a Boer (you will know if you are). …..Xosa, Zulu, Pedi etc
