The Catholic Church is damaging Africa with its immoral doctrine.

26 February 2013, 10:00
The Catholic Church is a deeply wicked institution, damaging Africa, and in fact the world, with its immoral, scandalous, victimizing doctrine.

How dare the Catholic leaders still insist that a "No Condom" policy is in any way consistent with a deity, who they claim to be of perfect morals and void of error. How dare they impose such doctrine, while maintaining that this is the word of their God?

Aids is Bad, but condoms will send you to hell.

This is their creed. They preach this deceit day and night. They dare to say these things while hiding the priests that sodomize the alter boys and at the same time their hands pumping misinformation about the evils of homosexuals into the popular opinion of this country. They do this to create fear. They trick you into thinking that they have the power to change the molecules of wine into blood and the atoms of bread into flesh so that they can damn you to hell if you dare question their absurd teachings! Its your fault that you were born a queer, now go burn in the lake of flames while we teach the "good word" of your demise to our flock.

My fellow South Africans, this is an institution that tells us that 50% of the population are not worthy to disseminate the word of God - that somehow being born a man makes you more perfect and by staying a virgin, (outside of child rape) makes their word the authority on what people should and should not be allowed to engage in when it comes to sex. If this kind of message was being delivered by anyone other than the pope and his subjects, we would be relegating them to holding cardboard signs and screaming their nonsense in the streets while they shake their empty tins - as you drive past with your windows closed and your doors locked.

It is an embarrassment to our own dignity, morality and humanity that we even take notice of these pathetic, degenerate, lifeless men who somehow seem to know more than the scientific community itself, making ridiculous claims - that condoms increase HIV for example - and condemning hundreds of thousands of the African children to death as a result. Is this the method of a rational thinker? Is this the standard of a loving God?

They claim this is the pinnacle of morality. I make the case that it is in fact the opposite of that. The Catholic church is the opposite of what any moral, decent human being would ever accept as being correct. And least we forget the crimes against humanity that makes part of their portfolio:
The forced conversion of indigenous people over the centuries, the inquisition - including Galileo's torture, the legalized torture during counter reformation, the persecution of Jews and the silence during Hitlers reign, injustice to woman, the African slave trade and of course the crusades - and this is only what the previous pope would admit to, not even my own list of crimes that they haven't accepted full responsibility for (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_apologies_made_by_Pope_John_Paul_II).

These are serious atrocities and to ignore that they happened, because some members of this body do a bit of charity work, is laughable. This institution is still catching up to normal everyday peoples morality, they are not ahead if it, and should rightly be looked down upon as a sort of childish outdated attempt at understanding its own actions. To be a part of this institution paints you with a brush that has more blood on it than arguably any other I can think of. It is revolting and shame on anyone who tries to defend it. Dont accept this kind of behaviour.

Condoms are not an immoral tool, and to suggest anything of the sort is, de facto, immoral in itself. For the Cardinal Wilfred Napier to suggest that the issus of them is "short-sighted" is ironic in the most extreme sense. It is time to ignore these pathetic teachings and encourage others to do the same. Its time to move forward.
