The Electoral Court yesterday in its investigation into the saga of the conduct of the Chairperson of the Independent Electoral Commission, Pansy Ngakula, ruled that she in her position as Chairperson of the Independent Electoral Commission, compromised the integrity of the commission, that gross irregularities was evident in the handling of the procurement of the new head office of the Commission and that she in the process of procurement deviated from legislative processes and procedures that should have been followed.
She furthermore neglected to disclose her association with the owners of the building and the court in its ruling stating categorically that she acted unlawfully, and that this misconduct on her part, warrants her immediate removal from office and the position that she holds.
Greed once again was the fore, and in the process the denting of the image of a Chapter 9 Institution in terms of the Constitution, suffering unimaginable damage.
She should be named and shamed for denting the image of the commission in such a flagrant manner.
Shame on you.
