My story is a short one. During the past hour I have read shocking stories horrendous comment and my biggest concern is ...and it was my concern since I was say 11 years old the connection between hate racism and Christianity?
I like to, when I read comment, to go to the members 'profile to see what is the fuel for such aggrevating remarks/opinions. Many times(almost always) such member list himself as a christian, sometimes as born again, his favourite book listed as the Bible. Now to get clarity I am of Christian background but I feel that to call yourself a Chritstian you must at least believe follow and execute the ground rules of the Bible and in specific Jesus. Now I am an Afrikaner, not neccassarily by choice and here is where I have serious convictions about the pot mix of faith and patriotism/racism.
I had a father in law and out of courtesy I will not name him. He was very well embedded into the rich farming(ostrich industry).
He was at that stage well into NP politics and friends with the NP LP of the town. He was a ooooh I do not know the English word for that , not a deacon - an elderley sitting in the most forward benches of the NG Church at the time white tie black suit.He was a man of God.
Except that and against my will I had to drive with him to church every Sunday, his breath testifying all that was taken in on Saturday night. Let me get to the point. I am new at News 24 but in my lfe experience and also in the remarks or rather comments I saw here, i always find a strange phenomenom a deep belief and a declaration of Chritianity opposite a deep srong feeling of patriotism and racism. Please clear that for me. Either all those insult Jesus Christ directly, he who was poor was born in a crib, had to live from the sea and seeds along the roads, never mentioned or insulted any race although provide victory of believers agaist atheists....how can you insult his created creatures ..all of us and in the same line ask for his love and forgiveness. Since I was eleven, that was always my question.
Finally, back for a brief moment to politiccs. F.W. de Klerk saw his Government as a Christian Government and at many occasions asked the following" why doesnt Mandela openly aknowledge that he is a Chrstian.?????????? Yes question mark, A whole bunch of NP LP's commited adultery including the then President himself, Roelf Meyer left his wife for a jong bokkie Ou Piet left his whole family for his young babes, and so we can go on ,next time I will have my research in place.
The final question is? what did Mr Mandela DO not SAY that is not directly in line with the requirements of the Bible?
Wouter Basson and his chronies, the footwasher, what did they DO in line with biblical requirements, de Kock and Derby Lewis??? I cannot since I was a young boy make the connection.
Emotional intellegence is scarce in left wing gruopsso I will try to make a deduction out of all the swearing and insults.
