Between all the religious trawling and complaining about either the ANC, crime or the weather, I am going to do the UNTHINKABLE and complain about the DA. Why on earth would a whitey, anti-ANC DARE complain about the DA that would supposedly “save” sunny South Africa from the ANC-byss ?
It is simple actually, because the DA is NO better. I experienced it first-hand. I live in the only non-ANC municipality in Gauteng. Apparently the best place to live if you were to believe the PRO DA propaganda. Propaganda...something the ANC does as well...
The DA have had some interesting corruption problems in Midvaal lately... Just like the ANC elsewhere.
The DA either cannot appoint someone to read meters properly, OR (more likely) has subcontracted out this most elementary of tasks…just like the ANC
”Here, go to each meters on this list, take the reading, bring back...”
So I have my reading estimated for 6 months and suddenly I have an account for almost 5 times more than usual. Now I am not saying we didn’t use so much water, and I also didn’t refuse to pay.
I took leave, went to their crummy offices in Meyerton to make (as a law abiding responsible citizen), or rather attempt to make some sort of payment arrangement.
Guess what..it was just like an ANC run municipality, pay now this much then we can talk. There is no negotiation, no thought of “wow, this guy WANTS to pay, let us see if we can accommodate him somehow”. No, there is a totalitarian approach of “we say pay this much, finish and klaar, we don’t want to hear nothing else.”
The increase have been nothing but excesive… any one skimming of the top or paying for those 100 officials who apparently don’t have to pay? Just like an ANC municipality.
I had my water disconnected once. Illegally in terms of the constitution...but hey who cares at the DA ? The constitution matters when it suits them… just like the ANC
I laid a complaint using their channels as stated on their website…as per an ANC municipality..no response… WOW, that is serving the people….just like the ANC
So hellopeter was my next stop… bad publicity seems to affect the DA as much as any other ANC run municipality….no response. Midvaal apparently does not respond to complaints…just like…you guessed it…the ANC.
So would I recommend the DA to run another municipality, province or even the country?
No I wouldn’t, what would be better? The propaganda spouting from the DA means nothing, just like ANC propaganda. All those people touting the DA as the alternative are anti ANC, not necessarily pro DA..
Always remember, the enemy of your enemy is not necessarily your friend….
