I went on their not so obvious Facebook page and headed into one of their pages and saw what the "party" manifesto shall be aiming to achieve. Laughing away at each line I've decided to easily deduce why the entire manifesto is not only nonsensical but completely ludicrous:
Lets give the benefit of the doubt and ask simple questions relating to following.
a. Expropriation of South Africa’s land without compensation for equal redistribution.
How does one actually go about start distributing land to whom and why...and who get the equal share of the land? If a farm is doing well, there should be no reason to stop the production IN the farm to stop giving product OUT.
If the farm were to be expropriated and replaced with people who have no knowledge of the machinery involved or the agricultural skills required then you will successfully have created more problems.
SOLUTION: Before owning a farm, get an education and collaborate with the right people who will help you sustain the farm.
b. Nationalisation of Mines, banks, and other strategic sectors of the economy, without compensation.
Here's another question, WHY do we need to nationalise anything? The country is doing fine, the economy is stable...this would cause the economy to no longer exist. IN ANY CASE...even the thought of Nationalization is out the window because the Rand is not strong enough to support it.
If you do nationalise something, who gets the money? Do you think Malema will give you a share of the "profit", if so, who gets it and why? Does everybody get a piece? Do indians, chinese and other races apply?
The country would need OVER ATLEAST 25 TRILLION rand to do so. In any case, you cant tell the people who OWN the companies in SA that they wont be compensated...because they have a BackOut clause so if the country is going down the toilet they say "Ok then we'll just take everything and sell it elsewhere" then you have cost the country jobs and the economy has lost its growth. After losing 25 TRILLION, the reserve bank of SA will collapse and then the economy will be destroyed.
SOLUTION: Allocate 1 billion rand (without nationalisation) and build RDP for the every single person who is homeless) and invest 4 BILLION into the construction of schooling for the poor. This way they can be educated and can have a real world understanding of what is happening so they can have an informed decision.
c. Building State and government capacity, which will lead to abolishment of Tenders.
How is that possible when the same person who is convicted of Tender Fraud and Money Laundering is saying that there will be no Tenders involved in the EFF if ever in power. In any case, Tenders are a natural process in the business and governmental sector...aslong as you deliver on your promise and dont steal the money and use it to do other things there is nothing wrong the process.
d. Free quality education, healthcare, houses, and sanitation.
Free quality education? Up to what grade? Does this mean even rich people will no longer have to send their kids to private schools? Does this mean literally EVERYONE gets houses? How do you qualify for a house? Who is going to pay for all of this free stuff? The taxpayer? Well since you nationalised the mines and basically every single private sector the money your holding is worthless because, well, you flushed the economy down the toilet. NOW you have no economy to pay the teacher, no money to get supplies to build the free housing and sanitation etc.
e. Massive protected industrial development to create millions of sustainable jobs including Introduction of minimum wages in order to close the wage gap between the rich and the poor.
WRONG. You nationalised the mines and just destroyed the economy...sorry, you just put 10 000 people out of work (just from one mine) and since there are no jobs because you cant pay anyone with no money EVERYBODY IS NOW POOR.
BUT in a different light, you want everybody to be equal even though you just kicked people off their farms and drove them away from their land. SO now you have people who are now LESS equal than others...your system is flawed.
f. Massive development of the African economy and advocating for a move from reconciliation to justice in the entire continent.
WRONG AGAIN. You cant develope the economy if there is no economy. You obliterated the country by nationalising every private sector so now you cant invest in anything.
Reconciliation to Justice? Nice job of destroying Mandela's entire legacy.
g. Open, accountable, corrupt-free government and society without fear of victimisation by State agencies.
You wont have an "open" government because as soon as you get into power you will create laws that will make you more powerful than the citizen. BUT WAIT, this conflicts with your law of everyone being equal? This now means you are MORE equal than others and you went back on your word and you JUST got into presidency.
You cant have a corrupt free-government because Malema yourself are in-fact in a Corruption court charge (and even though admit you only have ONE charge of corruption, that does infact make you a corrupt man)
And finally, you cant live in a state without fear or victimisation. Your telling me that if you protest, the government wont do anything to stop the protest? What if people are harrased by police and they become "victims" themselves, doesnt that already contradict the law stature in which is being said in regards to every law you are talking about??
Ladies and gentlemen, i thank you for reading this article...it not only shows you how EXTREMELY dense and how ridiculous it reads...there is no framework or deeper understanding of who gets what of which, who and what goes where, and what of which goes to whom and why.
The manifesto is absolute neo- liberation punk nonsense and will never be followed through by the IEC of what it presents.
In short, if you want wealth, go create it. Finished and klaar.
