I’ve decided to write this article in response to all the nonsense YEC’s post regarding that festering sore in the side of their creation myth – EVOLUTION!!!
This article will have nothing to do with evolution but I will be using the usual jargon and misinformation that creationists love to use when talking about evolution and applying it to their creation theory. I will be asking for “proof” and will ask them to back up their assertions with this “proof”. Just so we’re clear here, quoting bible verses does not suffice as “proof” because we must be able to observe it and it must be repeatable, the proof that is, not the bible verses. So here we go.
Let’s start right at the beginning with Adam and Eve. If Eve came from Adam we can expect that Eve will be a clone of Adam. They both will share the exact same DNA, if you disagree with this please provide the “proof”! So YEC’s, please answer the following questions regarding this conundrum.
Question 1: Did and Adam and Eve have a belly button? The scar that all humans share as “proof” that we are descendants of our ancestors?
Question 2: Because we are supposedly created in God’s image, did God have a belly button too? Why did God have a belly button then?
Question 3: Seeing as Eve is a clone of Adam how were they able to have 2 kids with genetic variation that would later go on and populate the earth until God decided to drown everyone?
Question 4: If Adam and Eve had 2 sons, and one killed the other, where did the woman come from for Cain to impregnate? Surely Cain would not have impregnated his mother Eve, (who’s DNA is exactly the same as his) seeing as she was the only female around at the time?
Question 5: Why is there so much genetic variation in the human population today if we come from 1 person, Adam?
Great, some interesting questions and look forward to the “proofs” from our creationist experts to back up their assertions.
Let’s move along now to the “World Wide Flood” that Noah and his sons (All clones remember) were able to avoid.
Question 1: If it was a freshwater flood, as rain water is not saline, how did all the salt water fish as well as all the corals survive the flood?
Question 2: How did Noah and his sons travel to Australia to collect all the marsupials on that continent to save them? They must have because they’re alive today.
Question 3: When we look at “the” Geological column why do we not find dinosaur fossils intermingled with human fossils in the same strata. Also, why do we not find ancient phyla mixed in with modern phyla?
Question 4: Seeing as the Ark was the epicentre where all animals disembarked off to their natural habitats after the flood, we should find trails of fossils of these animals from the ark back to their habitats where they eventually settled to this day, why do we not see this in the fossil record?
Question 5: As it was a worldwide flood, as YEC’s claim, why do we not see the same sediments and erosion patterns here in Gauteng as we do down in the Cape or even the Himalayas for that matter?
Question 5: Where did all the water come from before the flood and where did it all go to after the flood? Remember, the highest peak on the planet is Mount Everest, so we need to account for all that water that covered the earth?
Now if some of these questions sound silly and I’ve misused terms, please feel free to correct me as I’m not a creationist. All I’m asking for is “proof” of your assertions as these are all claims found in your bible. I’d really like to hear from the informed and well educated YEC experts who should be able to give me the “proofs” I require. I believe we have evolutionary experts who are creationists that can give me these answers namely Steve Porter, KenEverett, GodBeliever, Rational Believer, Tyronehester, Theot58, Willem Toerien, Johann Smurph, Stinkhout, Bharath, Jim Smoke, Silver Orange, Stefan Goosen, Johan Smit, AdamHope, Sydney Albertus Daniel, Brent, Jan De Beer, Graham Mcglashan and the like. I look forward to ALL of your assertions with valid “proofs”.
