I believe that I've solved the recently much debated topic concerning whether or not God can exist. Imagine for a second that you have the power to look at humanity as a species from the beginning of our existence.
What you will see is a species that is always progressing. The moment the species learn something new, they instinctively master that particular skill. Take for instance sailing as an example. We started off with the most basic of water transportation, anything that can keep us on top of the water instead of in the water.
We quickly learned that we need to be able to steer this thing and shortly after that came propulsion. Propulsion methods came up the ranks to the point that today we are harnessing and using nuclear power to make our floaty thingy go.
I can with almost certainty say that no other species on this planet has got nearly the comprehension and self-awareness capability of the human race.
Lions are more or less the same today as they were in Adam and Eve's time. I have yet to see a dolphin play the violin, or gears of war for that matter.
Now, imagine you can follow the progression of the species by 100 years. What will the propulsion method then be?( that is if we don't wipe each other out in the mean time), imagine a 1000 000 years from now.
Any mathematician worth his degree at Stellenbosch can tell you that even given all the variables, the possibilities are exponential. (And that's only propulsion)
Now for the second bit of mind shift.
I believe the fact that space is eternal and expanding at the same time. If you think of the vastness of what we currently perceive as the observable end boundary, I may be forgiven if I should believe that there is life out there.
What would they be like?, maybe the same type of existence as us, or maybe some other form that is completely different as to what we perceive as life. Again, the possibilities are endless.
What I'm trying to get at here is:
Seeing that intelligent life has the tendency to evolve into a better part of itself all the time, and with a mixture of time (let's say a billion billion billion years) as well as space in all its vastness. What could that life form be like? Would it be Godlike? Is it possible that such a creature can manipulate dimensions, time, space, energy in all its forms, matter, anti-matter and maybe even a civilization, or many civilizations on a planet?
We watch television programs that dabble in inter dimensional travel, there is theoretical advancements made towards the existence of our other selves on other planes. We are on the brink of being able to teleport matter from one area to another through space. We live in a time where yesterday's dreams are quickly becoming tomorrow's realities.
Is it possible that we are living inside an eternal and expanding space within an expanding eternal space? It is impossible to say yes or no.
And therefore, can you still say that there is no God, or creature or being or energy other than what you can comprehend at this time?
Remember one thing, the human species is ONLY 200 000 years old, or 6000 depending what you want to belief.
My answer to all who asks me if I really believe that God exist, well,
yes, I do, how can he not....
