The God questions - An even bigger 'mistake'?

03 December 2012, 07:55
Judging from an article I wrote yesterday some people took exception to the word 'mistakes' I used. I deliberately placed the work mistakes in quotes to show that people would see these as mistakes but a God 'does not make mistakes'.

Well today, I am going to introduce 'mistake number 2' which might be an even bigger 'mistake'

Mistake 2 - Why create Satan when knowing full well that he will rebel against God and try to wrest control from God? says the following about Satan

'The Bible says that Satan was created by God as a cherub, the most powerful of God's angelic beings. Some time after his creation and before the creation of mankind, Satan rebelled against God and took one third of the angels (now referred to as demons) with him into rebellion'

This is in the same class as Pick 'n Pay creating Checkers and the boss of Pick 'n Pay knows before creating Checkers that Checkers will draw most of Pick 'n Pays' customers. Why go through all the trouble if you know beforehand that you are creating your own biggest adversary? IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE.

Furthermore..why was there a war in heaven? God is capable of doing anything. Why simply not just reset time to the time before Satan was created and never create him? That would have eliminated Satan, made aeons of trouble unnessesary, made hell redundant. And...GOD knew all this beforehand?

But, of course, God works in mysterious ways.
