This article is to ask a question to a specific member here on N24, which threw a little temper tantru on the Genus called Equus.
From what I understand, the member had a long stand tiff with a member on the opposite site, which had a different view than him…
So before we begin, let‘s clarify what is the subject matter…
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phylogenetic_tree
The particular member was of the opinion that the opposing member and I stated that the scientific classification of the genus and other’ genusses etc are wrong.
Firstly, let us show the classification system
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Biological_classification_L_Pengo_vflip.svg
I never disagreed with this member throwing his childish tantrums, and agreed that Genus was a group of species sharing common characteristic and attribute, hence the group of them under the same genus…(Shocker…)
The other opposing member according to the member said Equus was a single species, if I understood correctly. This is not the point, so let us focus on what I want to know…
I did not deny or state the scientific classification is wrong, but have three questions…
1. Are the above links and groups (Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Genus etc – NB not exhaustive list) proof of a classification system and nothing more? Or
2. proof of Common descent?
3. Shared attributes and characteristics: Is this Proof of Comment Descent or merely Common Design?
In both cases, could we limit the evidence to empirical, 100% infallible, repeated results through experimentation and contemporary evidence. The paternal and maternal link between the predecessor, the transitional fossils and that of its descendants have to be proven by DNA testing…to rule out any assumption…
PS - Micro and macro evolution may be used, regardless the origins
