**Spoilers ahead** -> Ok, so I've now watched the entire Twilight saga and have this to say. Never have I seen movies less deserving of the millions made and adoration lavished upon it, than this series.
I may not care about the series, but I care about cinema. It lacks atmosphere, excitement, a good script, decent CGI, acting or creative directing. The majority of it is as devoid of a pulse as the vampires themselves. And just as "lifeless". They are both a cure for insomnia and a comedy at the same time. "I can't believe you gave my daughter the same nickname as the Loch Ness Monster!!" Uh, you called your daughter Renesme.. "Bella, we're the same temperature now" Ice cold, cute.
The fifth movie, the big finale. Just as I was falling into my customary Twicoma, a big battle scene. The best, and most exciting 15 minutes of the series. Then it is ruined by a cheap trick that was original when the The Usual Suspects came out in 1995. Whatever. At least it's over now. I'll close with a line from one of my favourite critics.
Wesley Morris (Boston Globe) - "This fifth and mercifully final installment features so much idle anticipation that it's unclear whether we're watching a movie or an Apple product launch."
