The Unholiness of Jerusalem

17 March 2014, 16:11
Ever heard others say "The holy land" referring to Jerusalem in the middle east? But really is it the case? What makes something holy? It is of great importance that you link this article with the previous three. For we have come to learn that God's modern Israel is his true followers, his Christian church and not the country in the middle east. Also that the literal Jews need Jesus for salvation, no man can be saved outside Christ. He alone is the only channel to God and none other.
When Moses saw the burning bush where Christ met him, he heard the words; " And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground."-Exodus 3:5. Question: Was the ground holy on it self? No. What  makes a place holy is because of the presence of God. That is why a similar experience happened to Joshua: " And the captain of the LORD'S host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so."-Joshua 5:15. Only the presence of God makes something holy. Not the elements themselves. For more illustration on this fact is found in Genesis whereby God rested on the Sabbath, and BECAUSE of this He blessed the Day and made it holy. It was because of his presence throughout the day that at the end he made the day holy, for God himself is holy: " And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made."-Genesis 2:3
With Jerusalem Christ said; "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate."- Matthew 23:27,28. What does the word "desolate" specify? The house of Israel, even its temple were left in desolation. For they have received not the one who was to come. There were no more to be the chosen, and because without Christ's presence no place can be holy. Amazing that Jesus even spoken of the temple in Jerusalem to be destroyed in AD 70:" And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down...When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)"-Matthew 24:2,15. Jerusalem in the middle east is not holy. Now its ruined temple is more of a simple of old's national Israel's sin of rejecting Christ. Nothing to admire. For God is in the midst of his church: "And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man...the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches."-Revelation 1:13,20. Let not man deceive you into thinking that the town and the temple in the middle east is a "holy land".

Xenophobia, or racism?

Xenophobia is described as ‘a fear, dislike, or prejudice against people from other countries.’ If you substitute ‘countries’ with ‘race’ then you have the description of racism. In my view the two are simply the same thing. Read more...
