“In this life there will be trouble, but take heart, for I have overcome the world.”
These words were spoken by the greatest man in history, and looking at the world today, these words ring truer than ever. We South Africans see many atrocious things happening in our beautiful country but the sad thing is we are not the only country in the world experiencing madness.
Just look around. Here’s a very small list of places at war since 2011 until present.
· Egyptian War on Terror in Sinai
· Syrian civil war
· Sudan internal conflict (2011–present)
· South Sudan internal conflict (2011–present) Part of the Sudanese nomadic conflicts
· Operation Linda Nchi. Part of the War in Somalia (2009–present)
· 2011–present Libyan factional fighting
· Tuareg rebellion (2012)
· 2012 East DR Congo conflict
· 2012 conflict in Lebanon
· Part of the Syrian civil war
· Operation Pillar of Cloud
The truth is, no matter where in the world you are, you will be going through some kind of madness.

South Africa is just another country badly affected by the global depression at the moment
And things seem to be getting increasingly worse every moment all around the world.
Maybe it is the end times? Maybe the Mayans were right?
But as a Christian, I realise that Jesus warned of these wars, and global natural disasters increasing in frequency as the end drew near. He warned of the increased hatred of man toward Him and toward the human race in general.
Jesus warned that it would get worse and eventually be so bad, that He Himself would return to earth to save humanity from total annihilation.
Maybe Jesus really was who He said He was, and maybe, just maybe, we should all start taking notice of the truth of His words.
