Let’s clear the BS dust some try to kick up against the reality that sex with women is regarded as sin according to the bible as stated in Revelation. Here is an applicable passage taken from Revelation to illustrate it.
I have posted many references related to the issue and post this one in response to some of the comments that have been tried as a counter to the truth that sex is regarded as sin.
Let’s keep it simple. If you are less worthy in god's eyes because of sex with a female it is sin in god's opinion. God is perfect. If you are not as perfect as god you are a sinner.
I know this is all getting rather boring but the repetition is necessary in view of some of the outrageous postings by some religionists. We just have to be honest and repeat the the truth and publish common sense.
Here is Revelations 14:
14 Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps. 3 And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. 4 THESE ARE THE ONES WHO DID NOT DEFILE THEMSELVES WITH WOMEN, FOR THEY REMAINED VIRGINS. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among mankind and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb. 5 No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless.
A mad man wrote the above. A madness that seemed to think that a second coming of Jesus was on the cards – also that the final battles between good and evil will be fought on horseback. The same author who states that Jesus would return in a second coming. That was 2000 years ago. (Jesus is reported to have said that he would be back during the first century. We still wait. Yet the writer of Revelation seems to hold out some truth for some.)
In one of the Afrikaans bible versions it is stated:
“Dit is hulle wat hulle nie met vrouens besoedel het nie; hulle het kuis gebly.”
The learned translators of the Afrikaans bible assure us that it is an accurate translation. So, no room for cleverness allowed to wriggle out on the basis of translation faults. The expertise of the learned translators – there were many and they were the cream of cleverness and experts of the relevant languages – should not be questioned as some silly commentators try to do on this forum.
The Afrikaans translation says exactly what the English translation quoted above says about the inappropriateness of sexual relationships with women. God disapproves of it according to the writer of Revelation, quite contrary to the command in Genesis that mankind must procreate, fill the earth, and rule over nature. One of the clearest indications that the bible is not the inerrant word of god, but rather a hazardous collection of diverse material man-made.
The truths about the un-authentication of the bible expressed on this forum are starting to bite. The silly arguments about context raised by some religionists to try to put a different slant on the capitalized sentence above make no sense. Why not? Well, the passage is already in context. Just read it and don’t try to obfuscate the issues with theological cleverness. The less said the better.
Then some try to come onto this forum and try to re-translate the bible to change the meaning of language from how it has always been understood so it fits their agendas/realizations/arguments.
Luckily, thanks to the internet and our personal computers, it will no longer be allowed that the same lies that have caused so much misery in history and against humanity and animals – still does - will go unchallenged.
WHICH god? After all.
