The muzzling of blabbermouth Julius Malema by the ANC was merely
a ploy – and a poor, transparent one at that - to soothe the nerves of
investors, the public, the taxpayers and those disenchanted by the political and
economic instability in SA. As witnessed by the continuing slide of the
currency and the lack of any forward movement since then it also hasn’t worked.
Within the ANC nothing has changed – they are still hell
bent on nationalization and the ramming through parliament of their info bill
is merely a means to an end. They need us to be in the dark as only then can
they continue with their agenda and nefarious actions, all of which are aimed
at remaining in power, no matter what. So when does a democracy morph into a
dictatorship?
The ANC are slowly coming to the realization that it’s
okay for some of them to steal from the treasury - even if they’re caught - but
that when everybody wants a piece of the action there’s not enough to go
around. Their voters are now demanding – there’s that word again – that they be
on the payroll as well, so to speak. Enough is enough, is the call, give us our
share now. We also want the cars, the high life, the money and the fancy houses,
the goodies and the bling.
The problem of course is that to remain in power the ANC
need voters and voters want things and the ANC have killed – and mostly eaten -
the golden goose. There is no more – they’ve taken it all.
The utterings of the presidency - and Zwelenzima Vavi now – about
insufficient funds, the inability of the state to carry so many welfare
recipients and that there are still no jobs, no work and no money are much in
line with what Malema has been saying except that now they’re coming from the
top. The alarm bells are finally ringing.
In nigh on twenty years now the ANC have managed to do nothing
positive – in spite of their constant protestations, excuses and blame shifting
– except empower, and enrich, the central core of the party, and their
relatives, friends and assorted hangers-on.
For the average SAfrican they have done nothing. They
have taken to power, and greed, and avarice, like children do to sweets and now
they again attempt to blame it on the taxpaying citizens who have endured, and
seen, it all.
The ANC have missed the boat in one important aspect and it’s
now coming back to bite them in their asses, as oversights normally do when
continually ignored.
The colonialists so hated and invariably blamed for all
of Africa’s ills by Mad Bob, and our own mob, have today been replaced by
others and they have not seen it happen. They have been too busy demanding,
complaining and sitting around discussing the problem to see it - whilst eating
drinking and generally having a good time – and yet it’s happened in full view
of everybody.
The Canadians, Australians, Brazilians, Indians and the
Chinese – yes, their BRIC friends – have invaded the continent, armed not with
weapons but with mining contracts and fat wallets, and they are reaping the
benefits whilst Zooma, Malema and Vavi sit around complaining - and eating,
drinking and having a good time.
Africa is booming – north of the Limpopo, if that’s what
it’s still called – whilst SAfricans are
starving, and complaining, and bitching about their lack of opportunities, the
lack of jobs, and that there’s no work. Meanwhile north of the border we are
welcomed with open arms – yes, us white men who are so despised back home - by
people desperate for the skills we provide and the improvements, infrastructure
and benefits that they can derive from our efforts. Makes you wonder, doesn’t
it?
The ANC need to remind themselves that we built SA into
what it today is - well was anyway - and although it was with black, menial
labour it was with our skills and for the benefit of the country as a whole.
Today we are again doing so but SA is deriving absolutely no benefits this time
as we have been shunned and thus we sell our skills to the highest bidder and
other African states benefit instead. Can anyone blame us?
Thus SAfrican men – and women – all all races, creeds and
colours, I would suggest that you look to the north and get working because
under a regime such as the ANC you will continue to starve, no matter how much
you complain, demand and bitch.
Go north young man, go north, because the
foreigners so hated by all back home, together with foreign mining companies, are
creating opportunities that the ANC cannot and it’s got nothing to do with
politics, color or social structures, nor agendas - it’s about work, money and
survival.
