The health crisis

07 April 2014, 14:30
I have been struggling to log on to the portal to post my opinions on the way health deparment is losing a plot to fight the scourge of HIV. After the release of the statistics later in the past week, I viewed my struggles as a blessing in disguise. The red-flags started when 'minister of circumsicion' as he is fondly known in social circles was lauded for his prowess in implementing innovative ways to reduce HIV infections.

Well, he did manage ito mother to child infections and went on to launch what I believe diverted the sole purpose of HIV fighting. His department started promoting sexual intercourse while even glamourizing it with adverts like 'a clever d*ck' and a not so clever one. What tiggered my concern was that even the fine print on those adverts which are mostly on township taxis (minibuses) does not promote abstainance. Supposing abstinence is difficult to achieve or seems implausible, why are these adverts not been done in conjuction with condom usage?

The televised adverts presented by the minister himself do not actually promote condom usage, instead he is asking them to 'circumsice' such that (in my opinion) can have clever d*cks. Luard! or maybe their approach is such that those who goes for circumcision will be told of condom usage? What if they choose to go through a different route of circumcision (traditional route)? The minister has slipped abit and got carried away, I think they should amend those ads and face the problem at hand....(Ways to curb HIV infection or reduction thereof),
