This morning’s headline reads ‘JMPD: Joburg traffic heavy as usual’.
After a year of court battles, Twitter defiance, Facebook defiance and tough braai talk the e-toll fiasco gets rolled out and we do what we usually do.
We don’t march, we don’t unite, we simply run back to our razor wired-burglar barred compounds and take another shot on the chin from the filthy, corrupted fist of our despicable government.
Now besides picking up a braai tong and a beer, I am wondering who would actually join a highway strike/boycott if it was organized and advertised.
Or would the horrid inconvenience of clogged up alternative routes override your resolve?
Funny thing is, those of us who decide to use the alternative routes will be considered idiots by the selfish opportunists who would take advantage of the now open highways.
My question to you, the commenter, is: Would you join marches and boycotts if they were organized or have you already accepted your fate?
