The negative influence of Kim Kardashian on society

17 July 2014, 09:11
Kim Kardashian really pushed me over the edge today.  I decided to write in to express my extreme distaste for the woman, and why I think she is the world's worst role model.  She found fame via her tape back in 2007, and has since made a large fortune, despite having zero talent, and being a negative role model to women everywhere.  She has this TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashian's, which basically showcases the absolute disaster that the Kardashian family is.  Talk about messed up priorities! Is Kim really the kind of person young women around the world, and in South Africa, should look up to?  Kim is now 31 years old - you would think she has outgrown her (very public) past misteps.  Now she is married to Kanye West, another terrible role model to young men! The narcissism is thick here, people!  Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have so much money, they were able to rent out the Palace of Versailles for their reception!  Where does this money come from, though?  This YouTube video from TMZ is estimating Kim will make $85 million from a new app -- and for what? Being pretty?!
Kanye at least has talent, albeit an ego the size of the aforementioned palace.  Kim, on the other hand, represents everything surface and vanity.  She is a beautiful woman, but what does she encourage from our youth? Being a beautiful diva with no contribution to society.  I believe we need to rally society together and stop supporting celebrities like Kim Kardashian!
