The 7 year old boy who walked home with a toddler after being raped, Anine Booysen, baby Samantha, Inna Bonnette, Louise de Waal, the girl raped in the kasi every day and many more. These are the real victims in our country. Women and children are living their lives in fear, fear from the hands of the men in this country who, instead of protecting them are hurting them. It goes beyond race or age or socio-economic background. Every day, we read stories of these helpless victims. Where am I getting to? The reported so-called genocide in South Africa. Ask yourself, compared to the number of apartheid victims and farm murders, how many women and children have been slain? Should the Afriforum not have gone to the UN waving a document proudly that seeks to air the plight of women and and children in this country? Are we too concerned about the political shenanigans of this country and past injustices that we overlook the actual horrific crime that is happening in this country? So, next time you want to declare the murder of a farmer or a politician or whoever you think is above everyone in this country, remember those nameless people who are also the victims of the rampant crime in this country
