The rise and fall of a Deceiver

15 June 2012, 11:13

When the Greeks presented the Trojan horse to the city of Troy, none of Troy’s citizens were even vaguely aware of what the plan was.  The Greeks pretended to sail away but returned under cover of night.  Meanwhile the Greek soldiers hiding inside the ‘war trophy’ snuck out, opened the city’s gates and let the awaiting Greek army inside.

Valuable lessons can be learned from that experience if you’re a Trojan, expected to be vigilant, charged with guarding the city against unwanted invasion.

Firstly, recognise the ‘gift’ (war trophy) for what it is.  It’s not a gift, but a pending infection.  Don’t let it in.

Secondly, don’t be deceived by how it presents itself, it’s not your friend.

Trojan horses are numerous today:  Military forces use them around the world to infiltrate terrorist cells, political parties use them to infiltrate opposition parties, computer viruses use the same principle to gain access to a system before infecting it, and even right here on these MyNews24 forums, there are Trojan horses in our midst.

Enter the author of this article:  http://www.news24.com/MyNews24/The-Rise-and-Fall-of-A-Christian-20120613.

Although subtle, it’s clear almost from the outset that this is an infection trying to infiltrate.  Now I’ll be accused of being overly-suspicious, etc, but if you read the piece, the author’s attitude is clearly in favour of his ‘new’ pending faith, atheism.  He doesn’t want to destroy the illusion of the Trojan horse, so he doesn’t come right out and say it, but his subsequent comments in the comments section confirms his deceitful agenda.

A day later and the same author who wasn’t quite sure about what to believe (apparently), now has his mind fully made up, with atheist-member-club-card to boot.

Beware of Trojan horses that are sent to infiltrate and infect from the inside.  They take on the form of being ‘on your side’ to establish a type of quasi-camaraderie, then they slowly begin to twist the information and their meanings, thus revealing their original agenda.

The Trojan horse if deceitful and is NOT your friend.  Guard the city, stay true, don’t compromise your position, and whatever you do, DON’T let it in.
