The road to death!

31 May 2014, 12:35
The road to death!

The ANC being so adamant in changing names it should now adopt to change the name of the Moloto Road to the “Road of Death” as the road has become synonymous with fatal road accidents almost on a daily basis.

How many people have died in road accidents on the road up to now, and has anything been done to improve the safety or even reduce fatalities on the road – absolutely NO!
Families, breadwinners, are being killed in road accidents and now the premier is shocked. Yes shocked she should be, but shocked that nothing has been done to do something about the safety on the road, or the prevention of any further fatalities on the road.

We spend millions on ‘unlawful, irregular, unauthorized, fruitless and wasteful expenditure, but no one in their right and delegated mind, has any concern to even try or attempt to do something about the fatalities that are occurring on the road.

How many more death does the Government want to witness, How many more funerals does it want to pay for before it goes over into some ameliorated action in any way?
Visible policing, dual carriage ways, research all of which can contribute to making it a more safely road to travel, yet time and time again we only hear about the fatalities. We never hear about how the ruling government is going to try or even attempt to stop all those carnages and fatalities on the road, by getting people, researchers, if they do not have the brains to work it out for themselves, to improve safety on the road, and eliminate all those carnages and fatalities.

ANC get your priorities right, and stop enjoying the publicity of how caring you are to bury the dead, and start spending money on preventing them dying in the first instance.
