I would like to start by saying that I am a non-believer. Not an Atheist. Not Agnostic. Just a non-believer.
I am busy reading the book The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself by Michael A. Singer.
‘Who are you? In this remarkable book, the author and spiritual guide Michael Singer explores this fundamental question, seeking the very root of consciousness in order to help readers learn how to dwell in the present moment. Written in an engaging and uncomplicated voice, this book will open readers up to the radical and powerful experience of simply being themselves.’
That in a nutshell is what the book is about. I will not go in-depth into the book. I would encourage each person to get themselves a copy.
In the book the author touch on the issue of the soul. A very complicated and touchy subject. He argues that the soul (also known as the Spirit, Chi or Shakti) is dependent on a source of energy, the chakra (the energy center within the body).
Therefore, I have concluded, after analyzing his argument, there might just be a soul. How I got here was a very long and complicated argument with myself.
The soul is thus then dependent on the energy of the body. If a person die, the soul cease to exist because of the lack of energy.
This is how I understand the soul now and this make perfect sense to me. You don’t have to agreeJ.
NB: This is my opinion and not the opinion of the author.
