Yahweh (1kings3:5) granted King Solomon’s wish in a dream(Numbers 12:6) of acquiring “wisdom” when he solemnly asked God in his prayer. He was a devout follower who feared God, he inadvertently inherited all the “blessings” that comes with wisdom. He was abundantly blessed not only with the knowledge and understanding, but with wealth and riches that comes with fame and popularity.
He governed his kingdom with the conscientious mind of the “commandments” laid forth by God to his forefathers, the Ancient Israelites during their long and stressful journey through the Spiritual desert. The journey of the Advent Movement was intended to be short by scale of distance, in comparison to other available routes, but their ignorance and promptuous attitudes led to them dying in the desert of a number of scourges from the wrath of God. They had to endure calamities, which came with pain and suffering because of their unyielding hearts, the spirit was forever rebellious to hacken to the Word of God, hence they spent fourty (40) long tedious years in the wilderness because of “unbelief”. It is the reason Christ is taking so long to come and bring the much controversial salvation to the desolate souls is, because of sin and unbelief, and God is giving His people a chance to redeem themselves in order for us to enter the promise land, Mount Zion.
And now, during the reign of King Solomon, the source to discern the knowledge and understanding of God’s commandments and “the will” to trust and be obedient in faith to the source of life the Almighty Creator, was now entrusted into the hands of a young man to govern the people of God. Kings and queens from faraway lands came to hear his wise words, even the Queen of Sheba was astonished by the stories she heard of the wisdom in the land of the chosen people, that she brought treasures and wealth for the king.
We have in our brief history prominent figures in society who have dedicated and achieved great strides in life and contributed immensely to the development of our culture and civilization. God gave man the gift of “intelligence” for which he can direct his path according to the innate will, to choose his own destiny. Baha’u’llah affirmed that man’s intelligence and reasoning powers are a gift from God, “This gift giveth man the power to …”
To achieve socio-economic balance in any given society is, brought in during the lifespan of the created man by being entirely subjective to the Will of God, to believe in Him (the son) and following his law and commandments that are set forth in His word. The socio-economic prosperity and stability are the result of trust and faith in the word of the Lord. That man’s intelligence and reasoning powers are a gift (John15:7) that aspires us to choose between the two elements of life, the eternal laws of opposing forces that attributes to the evil and good in this lifetime. There is a reason for every element of life that exists on planet earth. The contrast that continues to polarize the universe that lies between two bodies is unequivocally accepted as the balance of nature. The two spheres have to coexist in order for life to prolong, but Righteousness always prevails against the evil and bad forces. The soul of man is made to revolve around good and evil; right and wrong; the good and the bad alike, for man to reach his true eternal destiny.
The mustard seed has to die first in the ground in order for the stem to sprout out into the open environment and live.
God created evil to coexists with good, not because bad will subdue the good of life, but to bring man to learn and realize the fundamental aspect, the journey of the Spirit Soul to discern His righteousness in giving us “free-will” to be apart from Him and be lost in the maze of total gloom or choose to be united and dwell in His Everlasting Heavenly Glory.
