This is the ANC’s A-Team

08 June 2012, 10:27

We have all become used to the corrupt, greedy, and useless ANC politicians who “rule” (ruin) this country. But how long will their voters put up with this?

From the beleaguered embarrassment who holds the highest office in this country, to the lowest corrupt mayor of Bonga-Bonga in Mpumalanga, I have yet to see ONE of these officials making a success of his/her/its job. How on Earth are these incompetent individuals selected to these extremely highly paid posts?

What has always fascinated me is the audacity that these bungling clowns have when they accept a position of authority, power, or as head of a department.

If anyone offered me the job as city manager, or minister of forestry, I would refuse on the grounds that I have no experience or expertise in those fields. (Although I would LOVE the salary.) But not the guys with the “impeccable struggle credentials.” They simply accept the position – stuff it up – get a golden handshake; and are then “redeployed” to another department where they repeat the damage – costing the country millions.

And you know what is truly amazing?

I cannot think of a single member of parliament, mayor, or any other official, who, when held up to the light, doesn’t have a massive closet of skeletons ducking for cover.

Officials fall into three categories (or “kuh taggeries,” as some would say): those who have stuffed up and have been redeployed; those who have stuffed up and are waiting for their “day in court,” and those incompetent officials, who have made empty promises and are now living in fear of their mindless voters who are about to burn their houses to the ground.

My question is this: Have these people no shame?

How do they justify their lack of performance when people have died during the struggle to be free from a government who do not have their best interest at heart? How dare they ignore the plight of the poor, the destitute, the frail, and the old?

How do they sleep at night?

These people (the leaders of the ANC) are supposed to be the best they’ve got. Their A-Team. The very best team they can field. They are supposed to “create a better life for all.”

How many more municipalities have to fail? How many more rotten top-cops will still be appointed? How many people must kick the bucket from drinking contaminated water? How many babies must die in hospital because of incompetent management? How many times must a cannon ball fly? (Sorry, wrong song!)

Well, let me tell you something. If you are waiting for the current bunch of “leedas” to lead our people into the Promised Land, you will indeed have to wait until Jesus returns. Or even longer.
