If throwing stones at people who are practicing their rights to be heard are free and fair then we do not currently find ourselves in a democracy. It is with a very disappointing heart that I have to say that on the 15th of May, COSATU made South Africa look like the laughing stock of the World.

A Trade Union that doesn't want jobs for the Youth and neither want to cut the 50% unemployment rate of people between the ages of 15 and 24? Have you ever heard that sentence associated with any other trade union around the world? I doubt it.

It is clear that COSATU is stonewalling the Youth Subsidy plan only because the DA is behind it. If the ANC had to have the exact same plan COSATU would embrace it with open arms.

This just show how truly hypocritical the Trade Union really is and how it so closely aligns itself with the ANC. So much for differentiating between COSATU and the ANC.
