I was shocked this morning when I tried to find some updated news on the 8 South Africans killed by a female suicide bomber in Kabul yesterday. For most countries this would be leading news for a few days, with follow up stories and backgrounds of those killed brought to the fore to give a human aspect to this tragedy. But 8 South Africans killed is hardly enough for our media to get excited about. I mean really!!! More die in one taxi or bus crash, or strike for that matter. So what do we care about 8 South Africans killed by a Muslim extremist for, according to the insurgents press release, being American Spies?
Well I care!!! I care one hell of a lot. When South Africans are murdered by religious extremists it pisses me off. These 7 men and 1 woman were civilians working for a civilian air company and had zero military connections. Yet this very confused Muslim extremist woman decided to blow them up because some American/Israeli made a stupid film depicting the Prophet Mohamed in a less than kind light. Sensitive much? So there have been protests worldwide by certain sections of the Islamic community. And people have been killed, because naturally the proper response to an insulting movie is to murder people………………………………NOT! Your extremist religion frightens me and not in the “I’m going to hide under my bed” kind of way! But more in the “you are mental and I have no respect for you” kind of way.
Now before all the Muslims reading this jump at me screaming “Islam is a peaceful religion and the Quran teaches kindness and tolerance”, DON’T! Because I have not seen one peace from a Muslim leader denouncing this violence. But I digress this is not a religious attack as I am not a very religious person. But the more and more I read about these Islamic Jihad attacks the more I stop looking at Muslims as people who are Islamic by religion and start looking at them as a race of people bent on hatred and destruction. As for the South African media’s failure to report the real news, what can I say? News 24 this morning had 3 stories about that idiot Julias Malema who has about as much input into this country as a South Vietnamese rickshaw driver called Juen!!! And right at the very bottom of the page was yesterday’s piece about the families still being looked for.
Where is the story about the 22 year old female suicide bomber, and why it was so strange for the bomber to be a female as woman are not involved in fighting in Afghanistan? Why did the extremist group, who by the way are not Taliban or Al Queda, target South African civilians and then cheer that they killed 8 American spies? Maybe this would mean actually doing some reporting and making some calls.
