Election time Politicians are hard at work convincing the electorate to Vote for them because they have a good story to tell, at a closer look that story is suddenly not as pretty as it sound.
I take accept ion at those Men and Woman who understood the art of politics as a means of Serving first the People who voted them in power, further more I take serious accept ion at a Leader who have Dignity and a good reputation, Elaborating on this point will be futile.
South Africans need to wake up and realize that we have long past the Apartheid era, we are beyond the stay loyal and true to the deliberation Movements but we are now in an era of Accountability and delivery, Its strange how we choose to ignore our Responsibility to hold Our Government accountable for the promises, but Most of all for their responsibility towards the Country and its People, if we Continue to Support and defend Compromised Leadership than we can be sure that things will never change for the better.
Over the years I have listen to Gospel Musicians singing the same song with a different style, the fact of the matter is: it’s still the same song and we are expected to buy it everytime which means in the end we are at the same point we started many years ago, definitely no meaningful development has taken place which means that our children and their children will pretty much suffer the same faith as we did in our lifetime.
For South Africa to be a working democracy we need a functional multi-party approach we need to move away from that one party governs structure, yes many of us have our reservations about the Opposition Parties but the truth of the matter is the Ruling Party is no different from the Opposition Parties, as a matter of urgency we need to work towards Multi-party democracy and I talk about a working one, Only then will the system expose those corrupt and self-serving Leaders, the system will only be for reputable People with a genuine need for First: serving the Country and its People, many South Africans would like to believe that we are different from the likes of Zimbabwe but the truth of the matter is we are strongly heading towards Zimbabwe by protecting and Promoting Leaders who first of all have no sense of Respect for themselves nor having any regard for the Laws of this Country, Most importantly they Lack respect for you as a citizen of this Country and undermine the very same Constitution they claim that they have fought for, the fail to mention that it’s a negotiated constitution.
I am however encouraged by the few who finally see the Light, the few who decided that blind folded Loyalty will take us in circles, and South Africa needs a state with a vision which is first responsive to needs of its people not a state which give its people what it deems best but contrary to the needs of the People, Crisis Management can no longer be the norm.
If ever there was one thing I learned in my life: A good leadership listen to its People.
