Wading into wars doesn't give any nation edge over anything in today's era, other than to eradicate its own people peace of mind. Even if one doubts it to be equipped with all sorts of nuclear rich chemicals like uranium, it means but to prioritize how you view the world's saga. I am talking about the United States, who is good in stalking around when it comes to 'terrorism' and 'extremism'. Both the terms are coined and most widely used by the United States and still be using when it comes to Pakistan that today the Pakistan Afghanistan borders have been named as "AfPak, the ex-haven to militants". With all the horrendous things being done by the country, the alarming situation now runs with her own people, let alone her economy which is shattered and people frustrated by the swift moves of wars and whose cases of war crimes tops the list of human right abuses in UN courts.
I don't exactly remember the name of the businessperson who once wrote back in 2011 about the tax exemptions that Obama administration allowed, he said, "Now that Obama has given me this tax allowance, I am thinking of buying one of either two things or both, as we Americans are only left with the option of buying beer cans or prostitutes, as both label says, made in America" (anon). To wage war today is not only to loose your economy but the minds and mentalities that make or shape an economy.
Not cursing anybody and neither I have this intention to put salt into the wounds of poor Americans as we here in Pakistan have witnessed worse than that. We have seen our brothers massacred in the name of terrorism, our fathers slaughtered, their bodies perished into air and blood and all that evaporated in a single instance of just a little move of the American soldiers, receiving directions on how and where to air drone attacks and missiles. We are the victims of brainwashing and have been kept aloof to pursue illiteracy so that noway in the coming decade we may serve even the least to our country! But here it goes, as you sow, so shall you reap.
So, I was talking about the alarming situation running into Americans. Take the James Holmes case in particular. Can you expect a 24 year old kid pursuing a PhD and still being influenced by movie characters and all of a sudden out of nowhere he collects weapons and plans a grand massacre at the cinema? He did this when it was all packed by the movie premiere of Batman. This is weird but more weird is the thought that is this what United States is giving to her upcoming generation?
Things over here, as a Pakistani I'd confess are not good, and since by every means you have blessed us with all the arms and ammunitions and the sources to get them at great deals, we daily are seeing our jobless youth carrying weapons, and out there in public and infront of everybody firing shots either for the sake of a few bucks or to revenge the opponent party to which, most probably it is taken to be backed by some former militant group, who dare to confess their crime on our media later!
This is the way how things go here in Pakistan, so what I emphasize upon as a peace loving citizen is the mental condition which is necessary for our youth, which we don't have right now and perhaps we lacked it for the last two decades, but now? I don't want you to see what we have seen, circumstances show that things are getting out of your control now. Today, a single James Holmes have taken a toll, what if hundreds of James Holmes are produced in your country? Who would you blame then? Your strategies, warring techniques or keeping your children accountable to the war torn economies and learning from them. Then the reason would be no other than the psychological confusions that you are giving to your youth! Now is the time to take care of your people, let every nation do whatever she feels like doing and stop waging wars here and there, only then you'd be able to cease what you've started, a youth with extreme bipolar disorder!
